It boggles the mind at how openly fickle, irresponsible and biased our American media can be. A recent study undertaken by a citizen journalist proved that the New York Times is an echo chamber… yet even this echo chamber can produce honest journalism from time to time.

An example of that is their recent report on the discovery of caches of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD’s) by American troops across Iraq in the years after we initiated Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Five years after President George W. Bush sent troops into Iraq, these soldiers had entered an expansive but largely secret chapter of America’s long and bitter involvement in Iraq.

From 2004 to 2011, American and American-trained Iraqi troops repeatedly encountered, and on at least six occasions were wounded by, chemical weapons remaining from years earlier in Saddam Hussein’s rule.

In all, American troops secretly reported finding roughly 5,000 chemical warheads, shells or aviation bombs, according to interviews with dozens of participants, Iraqi and American officials, and heavily redacted intelligence documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act.

Jarrod L. Taylor, a former Army sergeant on hand for the destruction of mustard shells that burned two soldiers in his infantry company, joked of “wounds that never happened” from “that stuff that didn’t exist.” The public, he said, was misled for a decade. “I love it when I hear, ‘Oh there weren’t any chemical weapons in Iraq,’ ” he said. “There were plenty.”

Of course, the New York Times, being the liberal mouthpiece that they are, couldn’t help but attack the Bush administration even while spilling the beans that there were WMD’s in Iraq.

The discoveries of these chemical weapons did not support the government’s invasion rationale.

The Times says that the rationale was Iraq had an “active” WMD program. Sadly, that is simply a bold faced lie…,

In a great piece, Gabriel Malor at Ace of Spades HQ uncovers the lie for us and reminds the Times that the WMD claim was not just about an “active program” at all.

gwbushSo you find again—and I'm sorry for repeating this so many times, but it seems that it has been forgotten—the three themes of Bush's war plea: Iraqi resistance to disarmament, Iraqi ambition to arm once more, and terrorists. Those were the casus belli for the Iraq War. Not solely an active weapons program, as the NYTimes would have you believe.

Even if it were true to the American public the war was about finding and destroying WMD’s – new or old, it didn’t matter. Imagine if the government would have told the media about what they were finding buried in the Iraq desert… the “Bush Lied” and “No WMD’s” memes would have never existed! The American people wouldn’t have cared if the WMD’s found were just built our 20 years old – they would have been happy to know that the WMD’s were being found and disposed of so that Saddam Hussein would never be able to use them again.

Over at the National Review Online Deroy Murdock tries to understand why the administration would have stayed silent even while being attacked for lying.

New media accounts — including coverage by NRO’s Patrick Brennan — confirm what I repeatedly have written since the depths of Operation Iraqi Freedom: The late dictator Saddam Hussein did have weapons of mass death, and the United States of America was correct to invade Iraq, find these toxins, and destroy them.

Team Bush’s near-silence about Saddam Hussein’s 3,894 pounds of uranium points to this story’s second outrage: the Bush administration’s phenomenally flaccid response to its most vociferous detractors on the WMD question.

Then-president George W. Bush’s critics used the most bitter and vicious tones to accuse him of deceiving America and the world about weapons of mass death. “Bush lied, people died” was the Left’s relentlessly repeated anti-Bush indictment. The liberal fever swamps were rife with theories that Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, and their pals at Halliburton concocted the WMD charges from whole cloth. Why? To justify a U.S. invasion in order to seize Iraq’s oil fields. Lifting sanctions and simply letting Iraq’s oil flow must have been too much trouble.

The notion that Operation Iraqi Freedom rested upon a giant foundation of even bigger lies severely damaged the reputations of the United States of America, Bush, the conservative movement, and the GOP — the latter two of which tended to support the Iraq invasion.

WMDIn fact, Bush did not lie about WMDs. They really existed — and in enormous amounts…

It is outrageous that the Pentagon and, apparently, Bush’s political team concealed proof that America’s chief casus belli actually existed. Instead, the howling hyenas of the Left were allowed to gnaw away at Bush’s political corpse.

Why did anyone involved in this disaster think that this would be good for America domestically or globally? How thick were the skulls of Bush’s political advisers not to see the importance of presenting this information amid deafening shouts that the president and those of us who supported Operation Iraqi Freedom were a pack of filthy liars?

Take the time to read Murdock’s entire piece, as he reminds us that even way back in 2004, he was writing about the discovery of WMD’s in Iraq. Whatever the reason the Bush administration had for hiding the discovery of thousands of WMD’s from us – it wasn’t worth the damage left by allowing the Left to paint the administration as liars and failures. The belief that there were no WMD’s tarnished the Republican brand and led to the crushing defeats of 2008 and 2012. By allowing the left to paint Republicans as liars, the Bush administration basically handed over the next decade of political leadership to the corruption of the Democrat Party.

This discovery is big news, but don’t be surprised when the media and the liberals work together to bury the lede by implying that Bush was still lying and the Iraq war was a failure. In fact, the Times piece that uncovers the story works hard to try to make it sound like the story itself doesn’t matter and that Bush is still a liar and the invasion still a failure.

Why? Let’s let Gabriel Malor at Ace of Spades HQ explain it…

Progressives deeply invested in the lie during the Bush years that no WMD were found in Iraq. Bush gave many reasons for the war, but progressives seized on just the presence of WMD and then pretended it was the only reason for war. We've known they've been wrong about the lack of WMD for many years now. But, upon the chance that ISIL will find and use any remnants of WMD, however, progressives have had to modify their story even more.

Now, progressives have finally admitted that Hussein's stockpiled weapons were found during the Iraq War, but claim these were not the weapons Bush said would be found. This is just one more lie. And they've compounded it with another lie: that the sole reason for the Iraq War was an active weapons program.

As I have demonstrated from Bush's own contemporaneous words, an active weapons program was not the sole reason for war. In fact, an active weapons program was not even mentioned in the multiple speeches Bush delivered to the American public and to an international audience.

Do not let the NYTimes get away with its false history of the Iraq War. The war was not made solely based on claims of an active Iraqi weapons program. It was made because, as President Bush explained repeatedly to the American public: Saddam Hussein possessed old weapons of mass destruction, desired to evade inspections so as to keep them, hoped to restart his weapons programs in the future, and could pass weapons to terrorist groups with ambitions to harm the West.

Don’t let the liberals lie about this. It’s a huge deal. Educate the people around you, share this article with those people who pretend there were no WMD’s in Iraq and with the liberals who know better but like to pretend Bush still lied. The GOP has spent the last ten years being attacked over this… it’s time the truth came out and the GOP was vindicated.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Republican state attorney general candidate John Cahill made a brief stop today in Syracuse to highlight his promise to protect charter schools and to promote educational choice, to open New York to hydrofracking, and to fight public corruption.

Cahill, 55, was a top adviser to former Gov. George Pataki, with whom he now runs an energy and environmental consulting firm, The Pataki-Cahill Group. Both men also are listed as counsel with the Chadbourne & Parke law firm in Manhattan.

Cahill on Sunday announced he would run against the Democratic incumbent, Eric Schneiderman, who beat his Republican challenger in 2010 by 55-44 percent. Here are three highlights from Cahill's 10-miunute news conference in Syracuse:

Education: Cahill vows to protect access to charter schools and to use his office to help promote educational choice. He said he would not focus on funding issues, such as those addressed in the Campaign for Fiscal Equity court case, or CFE, which concluded that New York should spend more on urban school districts.

Cahill: "I don't think we should have a monopoly on education. I think we should bust the bureaucracy and give parents a choice where they send their children . . .

"It's not just about money. It's about reform, it's about change. It's about accountability. So the issues that I'm going to be focused on are broader than CFE. It's really going to be focused on choice in education, not simple issues of money being the solution to all of our problems.''

Hydrofracking: Cahill said New York needs to develop regulations to allow hydrofracking.

Cahill: "The reality is, we need better economic progress in the state. And we have that opportunity here in New York, by sensibly developing our natural resources.

"Developing natural gas in the Southern Tier will help promote economic activity, will help promote good jobs, (and) not only where the extraction would take place. Think about bringing Syracuse back to the manufacturing center that it was -- with cheap, affordable natural gas."

Corruption: Cahill, who has spent much of his career in political jobs, said he would put politics aside and go after public corruption in a way that current and previous attorneys general have not.

Cahill: "We have been following in the newspapers the issues of the Moreland Commission. The fact of the matter is, if we had an attorney general in Albany who was serious about government integrity, we would not have needed a Moreland Commission. And I will use my power as attorney general to not only ensure the rights of every New Yorker, but to ensure the integrity of our governmental process, whether it's in Albany or anywhere throughout the state.''

"We've had an attorney general who basically spent his career in politics. We need somebody who's not beholden to political interests."

Cuomo accused of ethics lapse for promoting new book

Gov. Cuomo may have violated state criminal and ethics laws by using his public position and employees to promote his newly published autobiography, “All Things Possible,’’ a sworn complaint charges.

The complaint, filed with two state agencies by a Republican foe late Friday, says members of Cuomo’s State Police detail allegedly “forcibly ejected individuals from book-tour events that asked questions not pertaining to his book.’’

The complaint was referring to at least one alleged incident involving an Iona College freshman, Bill Maloney.

Maloney told The Post that he was “pushed away’’ from the governor at Cuomo’s recent book-signing at a Barnes & Noble in Manhattan when the student tried to question the governor about the Moreland Commission scandal.

Maloney said he didn’t know whether it was the governor’s aides or state troopers who pushed him away.

But the lawmaker who filed the complaint — Assemblyman Steven McLaughlin (R-Rensselaer), a strong backer of Cuomo’s GOP gubernatorial rival, Rob Astorino — says he wants the incident investigated to find out. He added that he has been told of similar complaints.

Cuomo’s camp flatly denied the allegation.

A spokeswoman for HarperCollins, Cuomo’s publisher, added, “I was next to Governor Cuomo’s side at the signing table throughout the entire night.’’

The alleged incident involving Maloney “never happened,’’ she said.

McLaughlin’s filing also questions whether Cuomo violated ethics laws by appearing on David Letterman’s “Late Show’’ on CBS last week to peddle his book, for which he is reportedly being paid about $750,000.

The appearance could be an “impermissible gift,’’ since “CBS recently negotiated with Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office a tax break for the ‘Late Show’ of at least $16 million,’’ reads the complaint, a copy of which was obtained by The Post.

“Does the opportunity of a coveted guest spot on the ‘Late Show’ constitute an impermissible gift from CBS to Gov. Cuomo pursuant to [the] Public Officers Law?” the complaint asks.

In addition to possible ethics violations, the governor’s actions raise “issues as to whether Gov. Cuomo violated penal law . . . which establishes an ‘E’ felony for state officials who obtain ‘services or other resources with a value in excess of $1,000 from the state’ for personal gain,’’ according to the complaints.

McLaughlin’s two-page complaint was hand-delivered to the Joint Commission on Public Ethics (JCOPE) and the state Board of Elections.

“We have a governor who is out shilling books for his own personal gain,” the lawmaker told The Post. “He’s using state resources, the State Police, state employees, for his own personal gain, and that’s wrong,”

McLaughlin said he isn’t expecting a swift, pre-election response to his complaint from JCOPE or the Board of Elections, “given their history and how political they are.’’

Both agencies have repeatedly been accused of being controlled by the politicians whose behavior they’re supposed to oversee.

Cuomo’s former law-school professor also is blasting the governor — for “politicizing the [judicial] appointment process’’ by dumping longtime Court of Appeals Judge Victoria Graffeo.

Albany Law School Professor Michael Hutter, himself a one-time finalist for the court — the state’s highest — told The Post he’s convinced the only reason Cuomo picked Appellate Division Justice Leslie Stein, a Democrat, on Friday to replace Graffeo was because of Graffeo’s Republican affiliation.

“Judge Graffeo deserved reappointment, but the ‘R’ alone was the disqualification,’’ Hutter, who taught Cuomo “Unfair Trade Practices’’ in the early 1980s, told The Post.

“The [Court of Appeals] through the years has never been perceived as rendering decisions based on its political composition. But the governor appears to be on the road to seek that result.’’

Hutter accused Cuomo of delaying his judicial selection for two weeks beyond the legal deadline in order to stir up liberal opposition to Graffeo — especially from gay-rights activists angry that Graffeo once held that same-sex marriages could be legalized only by the Legislature and not the courts.

Cuomo To Sign SAFE ACT 2 Into Law If He Gets Reelected

time to fight

If Governor Cuomo is reelected the framework is all ready in place for passage of SAFE ACT 2.  While the Cuomo administration is hesitant to refer to it under that name during an election cycle, it will still be one of the first things he does upon his new term even if he has to manipulate the legislative process again in order to ram it through.

Here are the 10 key points of SAFE ACT 2 that will punish law abiding citizens, legal businesses and in general diminish the sparse amount of liberty that remains in the increasingly appropriate named “Empire State”.  My commentary italicized.

1. Safe Storage – Requires that weapons be stored with a safety locking device or in a safe storage depository when left outside the immediate possession or control of the owner or other lawful possessor.  Failure to do so will result in a Class A misdemeanor.  This includes houses without children and as such only serves to delay the ability to defend yourself against home invaders.

2. Microstamping -  Requires all semiautomatic pistols manufactured or delivered to any licensed dealer in NYS to be capable of producing a unique alpha-numeric or geometric code on at least two locations on each cartridge case expended from such pistol.  Class D felony if you “willfully” deface microstamping component. The problems with this are many.  First the technology is not practical (read: it doesn’t work) and as such this is akin to requiring firearms to shoot pixie dust, since it can’t it would make all guns illegal.  Secondly, like most gun control measures, criminals who are using guns to commit felonies are just going to ignore this.  Thirdly the cost of retrofitting all the guns in New York would unfairly fall on the citizen.  Finally, even if the technology WAS viable, and criminals DID follow it, all they would have to do is use a revolver and make sure to destroy the shells later.

3. Fifty Caliber Ban - Bans the possession, sale or transfer of 50-Caliber or larger weapons.  Permits grandfathering so long as they are then registered, a repeat of the Assault Weapson Ban from SAFE ACT 1.

4. Gun Dealer Insurance - Requires the imposition of restrictive business practices, recordkeeping and reporting for lawful gun dealers including requiring that every dealer carry insurance coverage against liability (at least $1 million per incident) for damage to property and for injury or death of any person resulting from the sale, delivery, lease, or transfer of a firearm, rifle or shotgun.  On top of being a ridiculous punitive measure against firearm businesses, the costs will ultimately fall on the law abiding consumer.

5. Prohibits the sale or transfer in NY of guns that are not child proof - Prohibits the sale or transfer of a “child operated firearm” to another person.  Defines “child operated firearm” as a pistol or revolver which does not contain a childproofing device, which would prevent an average five-year-old from operating it. This one is so amorphous that is shouldn’t even be considered law.  No doubt gun controllers would use a 5 year old prodigy that could unravel the Gordian Knot.

6. 30 Day Limit on Gun Purchases –  – Prohibits a person from purchasing more than one firearm from a dealer within a 30-day- period.  Prohibits a dealer from selling or transferring a firearm to a person who has purchased or taken possession of a firearm within the previous 30 days.  Requires dealers to request approval for sale from the Division of Criminal Justice Services.  Class A misdemeanor.  Why can’t I exercise my right as freely as I desire?  This is like saying one can only pray on Sundays, or limiting the number of newspapers a person can read in a day.  On top of the civil rights violations, the added logjam for businesses will slow commerce, raise prices and once again the law abiding consumer is left footing the bill.

7. 10 Day Waiting Period on Gun PurchasesProhibits a person from taking possession of any firearm from a dealer unless 10 days have elapsed from the date the dealer initiated the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) background check of the purchaser and has received notice that the purchaser has passed all background checks required by federal, state and local law.  Violators would be subject to class A misdemeanor. For victims of violent rape and murders who could have used a gun to stop their attacker, I doubt they appreciate the 10 days that cost them their lives.  This notion of a “cooling off” period is more gun controller tripe used to engender fear in the populace that there is a run on gun shops by angry mobs looking to shoot someone down.  It just isn’t true.

8.Ammunition CodingRequires every manufacturer to code any ammunition for handguns and assault weapons. “Coded ammunition” means a bullet carrying a unique identifier that has been applied by etching onto the base of the bullet projectile.  Most bullet makers aren’t going to make special New York bullets so the availability of ammuntion in the Empire State will decrease dramatically.  But hey, that’s pretty much the goal gun controllers are aiming for.

9. Mandatory Insurance For Gun Owners - Require persons owning a firearm (not defined in the bill), prior to ownership or within 30 days of enactment for current owners, to obtain a liability insurance policy with a limit of at least $250,000.   Failure to do so would result in the immediate revocation of the firearm owner’s registration, license and any other privilege to own a firearm.  Just look at the wording, PRIVILEGE.  That’s what gun controllers think that the right to keep and bear arms is…a privilege.  It’s not.  It’s a RIGHT.  And there is no voter insurance, because if there was a lot of Obama voters would owe me money.

10. Reduces Pistol Permits from 5 years to 2 years Requires that all pistol permit licenses expire every two years. Note, pistol permits in New York were LIFETIME before the first SAFE ACT.  The Act made it 5 years and SAFE ACT 2 is looking to make it 2 years.  This is a money making scheme aimed to cash in while stripping the rights of the citizens.  A pro gun sheriff might retire and a gun control sheriff might take his place, in that case, when people pay the non refundable fee to renew their permit they can simply be told no.  It gives the state more opportunity to deny rights to its citizens while still making a fast buck.

There are some other points, expanding on penalties of SAFE ACT 1 and broadening terms therein but this is the meat and potatoes of what a Cuomo reelection will look like for the citizens of New York.  Apparently, SAFE Act 1 was only the prologue and SAFE Act 2 will be the further advancement of the radical gun control ideology that Gov Cuomo holds so dear.

To allow Gov. Cuomo to be reelected will be an injustice of the highest order.  But it is not only an injustice to New Yorkers but for all gun owners and those who believe in liberty in America.

To quote the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. (he himself a victim of gun control like the SAFE Act when he was denied a carry permit):

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

It is for this reason that, even though I am a Pennsylvanian,  I am taking a personal interest in supporting the man who has vowed to repeal the SAFE Act, not expand upon it.

Republican candidate for Governor, Rob Astorino:

Astorino also tapped Sheriff Chris Moss to be his running mate.  Moss is the President of the New York Sheriff’s Association and has been fighting the SAFE Act since day one, going so far as filing an amicus brief in a federal challenge to the SAFE Act.

You can learn more about Astorino from his campaign website: robastorino.com

In this David vs Goliath story it is still a tough road to go since Cuomo’s war chest is being filled by the likes of Billionaire Michael Bloomberg, Shannon Watts, Sarah Brady and their gun control philistines as well as Cuomo raising substantial sums outside New York from Hollywood elitists.

Kick Cuomo Out

This may very well be the most important New York gubernatorial election in your lifetime…help make sure the right man is elected.

 Lebanon Confidential                                                         10-28-2014

Most of my readers are looking for the local stuff, so I'll start there tonight. The town budget meetings continue, and continue. Last night was slated to be the final one, but I'm told that little was accomplished and there will likely be at least one more. Sounds like Washington, doesn't it ?  LOL!!

I generally avoid the budget battles, not because I don't care but because it's so boring, and for me, secondary to the ethical and corruption issues we have faced here for so long. THAT is what residents should be having meetings about!  Apparently, there is a huge target on the backs of our town hall employees again, their salaries, again, and the Town Clerk especially, AGAIN. Benson and Evans are tag-teaming, AGAIN. ( I told ya that would happen when Evans ran for town board!)

If you attend any meetings you already know that Dan and his helicopter-mom are a pro-Benson tag-team in their own right.  Eileen does everything but bow to the Czar, agrees with every word he says and every action he takes, and protects him from opposition as "Sergeant at Arms" of meetings. Well, seeing as how she is Lebanon's First Confidential Secretary to the Supervisor, maybe she has delusions that some amount of "Power" comes with that title.  A 13,000 dollar salary DOES! This, despite the fact that she is employed full-time by our high school. So how many spare hours does she have to serve the King?  I couldn't say, nor do I care all that much. I DO know that Eileen also receives an additional salary of $4800.00 for serving as H.R Officer. Two, totally unnecessary positions that are costing taxpayers in excess of $17,000. a year.

Add it up folks, then ask yourselves why her son Dan wants our Town Clerk to cut her "Open to the Public" hours from 32 to 20 per week. Then ask why Eileen Evans felt it acceptable to make the following statement about Colleen at the open budget meeting: "She doesn't need as many hours anymore because half her work is now done by ME." Not an exact quote as I got it second-hand, but close enough!  How about this; we fire Eileen, take half of her two, combined salaries and give it to the Deputy Town Clerk so SHE can put in more time, and save the town $8,000.00 a year?! Then we tell Mike Benson to do his JOB instead of joining every committee and board within 250 miles and trying to make himself "SOMEBODY", instead of running this town as he so desperately fought to DO ??  (Library still gets $136,000.00 a year as well, folks!)

I could list about 50 things this town could do to save a crap-load of tax dollars, but until we get rid of the Secret Society of Benson, the EDC, and the Liberal, Dream Machine that meet behind closed doors and sip organic wines, nothing will get better. Until the blue-collar taxpayers of New Lebanon come together in a united protest, taxes will rise, regulations from grants will increase and the town will be transformed into the liberal utopia of Behold This.

               ############################################

At the state level, I am "cautiously optimistic" about the election. Rob is closing in on Cuomo fast, and yesterday, the liberal NY Post endorsed him ! Today, a liberal female,  CBS reporter stated that the Democrats and Obama in particular, have destroyed the media and journalism as everything they once were.  Democrats in Congress are crossing the aisle to demand flight restrictions and quarantine for incoming flights from ebola affected areas.  Democrat candidates for Senate are refusing to appear anywhere NEAR Obama. I like it, a LOT.

The fact that Cuomo is very likely facing indictment is not helping HIS campaign any and rightly so. The TV ads are still dirty and dishonest, chock-full of lies and false accusations. Today, I heard three ads within a 20-minute period from the left, against Gibson, Amedore, and Cahill. All three, stated that these three men are openly opposed to a "Woman's Right to Choose". The old abortion argument . Since all three candidates are Republicans and hopefully Conservative, of COURSE they oppose the murder of the unborn and newly-born. DUH !! Pro-Choicers need to get a clue and try birth control or abstinence instead of infanticide, but that's a subject for another day.

Of COURSE we on the Right oppose abortion and same-sex marriage and support MORALITY and the Right to Life. We're RIGHT ! Geez ! I also heard Scott Walker being slammed by the Left today for being a "Tea Party Extremist". LOL!! Aww, is that "offensive" to you liberals that an American should feel Patriotic and Loyal, fly the flag proudly and support veterans before illegals and Muslims? Too BAD! Deal with it! The Liberal leadership is gasping its last breath and no matter HOW this election turns out, the push-back will continue and escalate. They have pushed too hard, too far, for too long and payback time has come!

Ferguson,Missouri is back in the news. Seems Michael Brown's grieving family has found a Cash Cow in the selling of Tee shirts with good old, innocent little Mike's face on them. Problem is, Mike's momma and a friend decided that they didn't like sharing the spoils with other family members. So when Grandma and some cousins attempted to cash-in on some tee shirt sales, Momma and friend thought it was a good idea to assault the extended family with metal pipes to the head. So I guess this is how the Thug Society mourns their dead.

The Anonymous and Occupy activist groups are calling out their sleazy troops to Ferguson to demand the conviction of Officer Wilson. You remember him, the cop who shot poor little Mikey in self-defense and whom ALL the evidence proves to have done the right thing ? Yeah, THAT guy. The Black/Liberal Lynch Mobs are calling for his head because he DARED to shoot a person of "color".  Don't get me started!  Funny how these brain-dead dregs of society all know how to damage and destroy all that is right and good, but they can't grasp the concept that we ALL reap what we sow in the end. ALL of us.

Nurse Ebola, the one who threatened to sue if she was not released from quarantine in New Jersey, got her way and is now at home in Fort Kent, Maine.  Selfish Witch, one who has NO business in the medical field. Here she was with all the comforts of home for a brief, 21-day period that would ensure the safety of thousands of Americans, and she WHINED. I hope her neighbors in Maine treat her like a Leper.  On further investigation, this Nurse has an interesting resume'. See the article below, and if you are so inclined, or pissed-off enough, send a letter to the address they provide at the end of the article. Millions of Americans, WILL.

The Doctor who came home from Ebolaville to NY City and went bowling, rode the subway, visited friends, etc., is now hospitalized with full-blown Ebola. If he survives, he should be arrested for endangering innocent people. Doesn't the Hippocratic Oath say, "First do no harm"?  Why is it that the Teflon Muslim is keeping America one of the few countries to NOT ban flights from Ebola affected areas? He says it is too difficult. REALLY ? How hard is it to check the VISAS of every passenger of an in-coming, international flight and quarantine those who might have been exposed? Obama does not WANT to stop it, and you know why. At least, you SHOULD know. Same reason he won't close our border.

Did you also know that the Ebola Czar he appointed is not only a non-medical person, but is a documented de-populist ? Look it up!  Vote Wisely folks.

 Cuomo:

Cuomo said during the debate Wednesday night that he ended the Moreland Commission's investigation into corruption in New York because it had ACCOMPLISHED his goal of getting a law passed. So basically he is admitting he empaneled the Moreland Commission so he could BLACKMAIL politicians into PASSING a LAW! EVEN more OFFENSIVE and ILLEGAL than TAMPERING with the COMMITTEE!

 Barnacles and BARF                                                                      10-31-2014

Boy, AM I surrounded by IDIOTS ! Two issues tonight folks, beginning with the human barnacles we call Liberals, Progressives, Greenies, whatever you prefer. Sadly, Lebanon has been attracting more and more of these human hull-scrapings by the year, mostly from NY City. They are a fungus.

This is my EIGHTH year as a political activist and campaign worker. With every passing election I am more and more disgusted with the Left among us. This past month, I have worked VERY hard, first to GET campaign signs for New Lebanon, then to distribute them. As you already know, our local Republican Party did N-O-T-H-I-N-G ! Again. I spent all last weekend out in the rain, posting signs around town. As always, I obeyed all the sign rules; No signs in front of the library, the schools or churches, and no signs in front of private homes or businesses unless they requested them.  I stuck to the Right-of-Way as I always do, and as always, I did not lay ONE FINGER on the other party's signs. I never have!

There is more than enough room for everyone's signs and sharing is fair. After the last local election, I didn't think it was humanly possible for anyone to go any lower or be any more hateful or immature than Tom Benson was with the campaign signs. His behavior was beyond deplorable and he deserved to be arrested.  Now, here we are in a mid-term campaign and once again, the Lebanon Lefties are showing what they're really made of.

For a full week now, there were three Republican signs posted in front of the old Stultz Country Store on Rt.20 at the corner of West St. Today, those signs were ripped from the ground, tossed into the high grass and replaced by two Democrat signs, one for Brian Howard and one for Sean Eldridge. There is MORE than enough space there that the Dem signs could have been posted a few feet from the Republican ones, but Liberals don't think or work that way, they want it ALL, remember? So, for the first time EVER, I removed the two Dem signs and put mine BACK where they had stood all week. Those 2 signs will be delivered to the New Lebanon Democrat Party Chairman tomorrow as they belong to the Democrats and not to ME. Both he and the Town Clerk have been notified of the issue and that the signs will be given to the Dem Party as their property. I'm sure MY signs will never be seen again.

Three other Astorino signs disappeared this past week, one from the Speedway, one from half-way up Lover's Lane and the third from the Vee at Cemetery and Mill Roads. I KNOW who took the second and third, but not the first. As for today's theft of signs, I was lucky enough to have found an eye-witness. A man who happened to be having coffee in Jimmy D's Restaurant saw the entire thing, described to me in DETAIL the older couple who did it, what they were driving and the color of the vehicle, and even what TIME it happened!  So it's just a matter of time before I identify the criminals, and yes, it IS a crime to tamper with or steal campaign signs, and since the signs I replaced have now been removed entirely and no one has offered to return them to ME, it IS theft. Until and unless they ARE returned.

Sign theft and tampering carries a FINE OF $2300.00 AND/OR 30 DAYS IN JAIL. It is a misdemeanor. I WILL NOT hesitate to press charges the very second I identify you! That's just the LEGAL side of this issue! The ethical side ? Where do I begin? Liberals make me want to barf. Who do they think they ARE to take what is not theirs? To rip someone else's signs out of the ground and put their own in the EXACT location ?  I am SICK TO DEATH of Liberal BULLIES! They're like ALL bullies, big and bad until we push back, then they run and hide with their tails between their sissy legs.  The Liberals believe that New Lebanon belongs to them and them alone. Typical liberal, lunatic logic! How DARE they ! Two old fools DARE to act like toddlers and think they are above the law and exempt from the rules!

EVERY election, it is the LEFT that tampers with and steals signs, never, EVER has it been the other way around, not even ONCE.  You ALL know where I live, you ALL know that I can be found at every Town Board Meeting, so if you have an issue with my sign placement, BRING it! Come to me face to face and let's hash it out. All I have ever gotten from Liberal Haters in this town are illegible emails from false email addresses using false names. I have extended numerous invitations for face-to-face meetings with these sissies, yet they prefer to attack from the rear, in the dark and from behind closed doors. COWARDS! Gutless, little slimeballs.

We Conservatives are fed-UP with the dirty, liberal politics, the lies, mis-information, corruption, theft, immorality, immaturity, voter fraud, and lack of respect for the RIGHTS of others who DARE to disagree with your insane ideologies. You are a blight, an oozing infection that leaves a sticky trail of slime everywhere you go and on everything you touch. Look at what your politics have done to this great country, to this once, happy little town !

Ronald Reagan said; "Liberalism is a disease, Common Sense is the Cure". Liberals have NO clue what Common Sense even IS, they lack a moral compass and then dare to point accusatory fingers at the RIGHT? Grow UP, get a LIFE, and leave other people the Hell alone! Your 50-year Libfest is OVER. We are DONE with your destruction.

Lebanon Valley Conservancy and the Speedway

MORE liberal bullying. They want a "Noise Ordinance" in Lebanon, as if we were Lenox, or Kinderhook. Fat Chance! We all know you moved within earshot of an established Speedway, knowing full well that you would HEAR the cars. NOW, you want to shut it down so you can have total peace and quiet year-round. Well, guess what? You picked the wrong spot to live in if you want quiet, and you picked the wrong business to pick on if you want to WIN.

The Great Czar requested that Howard Commander sit down and negotiate with this group of whiners, and Howard being Howard, agreed, even though he has NO obligation to do so. If you know Howard and his history in Lebanon, you also know that he has always been willing to negotiate and go the distance to try to cooperate with the weasels. THIS time however, Howard is changing his mind about this sit-down meeting with the Lebanon Valley Conservancy. Wanna know WHY? Because they LIED, right from the get-go ! Howard will NOT negotiate with liars, period!

The "Conservancy" stated that Howard has paid a mere $4500.00 in taxes for the last year. Today, between re-posting mangled signs, I spent some time in Howard's office. I held in my HAND, the copies of this year's checks from the Speedway for school and property taxes. The total? $46,000.00 ! Maybe the "Conservancy" has a problem with zeroes. They definitely have a problem with the TRUTH! Who could ever take their whiny complaints and ridiculous demands seriously after THIS? The bridges have been burned.

So, to the long-time and lifetime residents of this once terrific town, I ask you, have you had enough YET?!?!  Are you ready to stand up and push back against the liberal flood, their attempted take-over of our town and their bully tactics against the Speedway and our longtime traditions? Do you approve of their "Secret" groups that meet behind closed doors to decide YOUR future? YOUR taxes? YOUR town employee salaries and treatment? Are you going to continue to allow these newcomers and part-timers to push you around and make all the decisions? Spend YOUR money on things you don't want or need? OR, are you going to get off the couch in 2015 and actually DO something about it? For goodness sakes people, get PISSED! You are losing your town, your choices, your freedom,  your guns, your property rights, and the minds of your children! What will it take to motivate you? I am ONE person, I can't do it all alone and I shouldn't HAVE to.

Time is running out faster than you can even imagine, for New Lebanon, for NY State, and for America, and still you sit like lumps on a log. SHOW me what the left has done to make your lives better, your state, town or country better. Have they provided jobs, affordable insurance, better education, a strong economy or military, a safe and secure border, or even a sense of PRIDE to be an American? Have they supported morality and integrity in government? Lowered your taxes? Reformed welfare and ended fraud? Ensured honest voting practices, safety from diseases like Ebola, or from the terrorists that are coming in through our southern border daily and by the thousands? Held criminal politicians accountable?  Honored and defended the Constitution? WHAT? Tell me what they have done to make your life better !  THINK before you vote, it's time for SERIOUS change.

PS( Whether you choose to believe it or not, Mike Benson is a full-blown Liberal from Democrat parents. He
ran on the Republican line because it was his only option.)
