Summer Siesta                                                              8-1-2018

Some of you may have noticed that I have not been blogging much. At least I HOPE someone noticed!

There isn't a lot of note going on in town lately , not since the Rail Trail debacle, and since I took the summer off from the Constitution Study, I decided that I would also take the summer off from the blog. Unless of course, something super-interesting comes up.

I have more projects going on than I can possibly hope to complete before winter, so I really don't even have time to compose blogs right now. The cabin has to be up-to-snuff before I can list it For Sale next year, so that means WORK,WORK,WORK.  I am still attending Town Board and Planning Board Meetings, but they have been pretty unremarkable.

Come Fall, I suspect that we may see some new local issues worth discussing, and I have numerous State-Level actions to assist in organizing.

The flag across from Stewarts is FINALLY not caught on the wire clamp anymore. Bob and I tried to unhook it a couple of times, but had no luck as it was wrapped around a bolt head. I'm not certain, but I believe that Consolidated Communications finally responded to our requests to assist.
Thank you to them and the Town Clerk's office!  Flowerboxes are looking great, and in taking care of them, I have learned just how much traffic Rt.20 sees each day and how darn FAST that traffic travels! It's kind of scary.

Speaking of Stewarts, Manager Leslie will be leaving for good this week due to physical issues that make her 80-hour work week too demanding.  I believe this is why the store is closing at 10 p.m on Thursday, to allow a good-bye gathering for the employees. I will miss Leslie a lot, she's a great lady and has been a super employee for Stewarts. Good Luck in your retirement, Leslie.

The old School/Lenny's Restaurant building is nearing completion and looks amazing! Time for an Open House, Tony?

Barring Breaking News, see y'all in the Fall!
